Why so difficult to cancel service from SingTel?

This is referring to SingTel’s Color-Me-Tones to scam people to pay $4.28 monthly for the useless VAS.

I didn’t subscribed to this service at all, but why SingTel use such marketing to cheat people?

I called them and follow-up with email to SingTel on 13 Dec. The Account Manager, Catherine Eng replied that she will check and ensure no subscription charge is tied to my mobile on Color-Me-Tones.

Until today, Color-Me-Tones is still active on my mobile phone.

I wonder why SingTel make it so difficult to cancel service? Why I do have to spend time to cancel service that I didn’t sign-up?
