I know I’m late. PC Show was over 2 weeks ago.

My DIY Pentium 4 – 2.8GHz computer is about to retired, as the hard disk is giving some warning. Was planning to get a new system since last IT show in March 2009.

So, I bought a 14″ Acer Aspire 4736G notebook @ $1198

The specification are quite standard-lah, most or less same with other major brand.
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo – P8600 – 2.4GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3
Hard Drive: 320GB
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce G105M
Others: DVD Super Multi writer, Wireless A/B/G/N, Bluetooth, Multi Card Reader, Ethernet LAN, Web Cam, 2.3 kg with 6-cell battery pack, Carry Case, etc
Free Gift: USB Speaker, Optical Mouse
Operating System: Vista Home Premium
Warranty: 3 Years

Acer Aspire 4736G

Also, sign-up the Singtel Broadband on Mobile 1MB plan @ $15.69 per month, which free Huawei E1762 USB modem. I think the deal is not bad.

To Buy Philips Coffee Maker or Not?

June 6, 2009 · Posted in General · Comment

The Philips Experience Showroom is running the annual Great Singapore Sales promotion this month. Philips staff can enjoy at least 40% discount on all products, including TV, audio, MP3, domestic appliances, etc.

I’m looking at this Philips coffee maker. Retail price is S$48. After 40% off, staff price is about $28.80.

Philips Coffer Maker

I’ve been pondering on whether I should buy a coffee maker.
I drink coffee everyday, but this is not a good reason to buy a coffer maker.
I can’t convince myself to buy one.

Should I buy or not?

Yesterday was my last day to work in Suntec City, as my office is now relocate to outside the town, at Tao Payoh.

Previously, just 20 minutes journey from home. Now have to spend between 45 mins and 1 hour to reach office. Somemore, got to change train at Raffles Place and then switch to bus at Tao Payoh Interchange.

Daily transport expenses also increased from $2 to $3.
