Samsung DVD Writer and Asus EN8400GS Graphics Card

December 3, 2008 · Posted in Computer Technology

My BenQ 1620 DVD writer just died on me last night when I wanted to do files backup. I was able to burn CDs 3 weeks ago. I think the DVD writer decided to give up it’s life after working very hard to burn hundreds of CDs/DVDs. :)

Went to Sim Lim Square this afternoon to find the replacement.

This writer can burn 4.7GB data on a DVD disc in approximately 4 minutes and 26 seconds. Wow .. quite fast hor ~~

I also pick-up an entry level graphics card, Asus EN8400GS to replace the onborad Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900. So that I can run some graphic intensive software and improve the Vista experience without drawing CPU power and memory from the system.

didi, the price is quite reasonable with 3 years coverages. The card performance is ok for entry level, not for gamers ..
