Career Fair 2008 @ Suntec City

Today during lunch hour, I went Career & Education Fair 2008.

Frankly speaking, I find it not interesting at all.

What I don’t like is to fill up the registration form. Why must we register to enter the hall?

I’m OK to provide personal information to the company that I’m interested to join, but NOT the career fair organizer.

I’m NOT comfortable to give too much personal information, like mobile number, NRIC to them, because you don’t know what they going to do with the collected data.

Are they going to sell the data to telemarketing to promote credit card or insurance?

What did I do?

Career Fair 2008

Just write fake name, fake mobile number, fake NRIC to get the entry sticker.

Only a few companies do invites you to understand their company background, what business they do, many just ask you fill up the application form or look at their website.

I think stay at home and browse from one job site to another job site to search for your desired job is much better.

About the Education Fair part, collected some brochures and left for my lunch.

The Photo Hunt for the week is wooden.

Let’s show you these colorful flower sets made of wood carvings from Batam, Indonesia.

Every flower and craft is hand-carved wood and then hand-painted in a variety of colors.
