Another Blog Ads Network Launched on Christmas

December 25, 2007 · Posted in Internet Income

On 16 December, I’ve highlighted that third blog advertisement network, GrabMyAds enter into local market.

Today, on the day of Christmas, I stumble across a new blog network in Asia, Nufflets. They just launched on the day of Christmas. They will give everyone of you a Christmas present of USD$15 when your blog is approved. (Read the FAQ)

Here is my comments.

Nufflets, is a word combined from NuffNang and Advertlets.

What a name?
I think, the founders should think of a better name.

Also, they are running Cost-Per-Click text based advertising and ad style is very similar with Google AdSense. I don’t know if it’s violates Google’s TOS or not?

See the screen shoot below for it’s ad size and style.

Nufflets

Do take note that Nufflets pay you in US dollar and minimum payout is US$50.

Also, Nufflets’s entry requirements is quite high, compare to Nuffnang, Adverlets or AdSense.

1. Deliver at least 3000 page views per month.

2. You must own the domain

3. Your site must serve either the following countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, China and Japan

I must be too much alcohol in this festival season. During the registration, it’s taken me four attempts to get the captcha code correctly. :)

Nufflets

Otherwise, the registration process is pretty smooth.

I’ve not tried Nufflets yet, because I’m worry that Google might ban me.

Any comments?

    Guess it’s not for those low traffic site to join in with the high requirements.

    Maybe you can give us a review?

    Hi motd,

    my application to Nufflets is pending for approval. If got approved, then I may review the ads network.

    A join-venture of Nuffnang and Advertlets? LOL….

    Will wait and see before joining as no referer program available.

    It will violate google adsense. Not worth it. If your blog is with that high traffic better to stick with other smaller ones that do not risk violating any of them but still able to earn as much too.

    Did you know that you can put:

    adbrite ads
    bidvertiser ads
    etc all together with google adsense ones without violating any rules? The thing is, adsense toc states:

    In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

    To highlight:
    formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes

    ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

    As long as they dont make people think that the ads that arent google adsense ads are adsense ads, you are completely fine.

    @Swift,
    Thanks for the clarifications on AdSense TOC.

    @Putera Emas, Larry Seow
    I will wait and see what is their plan, revenue, etc, before insert the code into my blog.

    What a name! With all these ads running on blogs, blogging now has become so commercial! I’m losing the kick I used to get when I blog. Seriously!

    Merry Christmas Han!

    I wonder what does Ming and Josh have to say about a new competitor using their branding to form a new brand.

    I’m not a law student. But is this legal? It sounds like riding on Nuffnang and Advertlets branding.

    Both are CPC so it is against Adsense TOS if use together. IMO it is better to choose Adsense since visitors have more ads (selections) to choose from, & who doesn’t want cheque from the best search engine in the world? :razz:

    @claudia,
    For time being, I will stick with the reliable one, AdSense, Nuffnang, Adverlets, and of course Blog2U.

    @DK,
    I’m not in legal too..
    So I don’t know …

    @Edward,
    Agreed with you.
    AdSense is paying me well. Don’t want to drop AdSense :)

    Swift:

    Your clarification is similar to mine! Thanks! But just to be extra sure, I have contacted the Google Adsense team, they should reply in 2-3 days time.

    I’ll keep everyone updated. Till then.

    Did I read correct that the founder of nufflets used to work in advertlets? Then in this case can they sue?

  14. hanneng on December 26th, 2007 8:17 pm

    @Nabil,
    thanks for your comments.
    I think it will be great if Google AdSense reply with positive outcome.

    @Roger,
    According to Hong Kiat, Nabil was previously from Adverlets. I cannot comment on that matter, because I don’t have any insider information.
